ADDAPTCO - What are we all about?

ADDAPTCO is an All Developmental Differences & Abilities Parent Teacher Community Organization for children within Hancock County. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization run by a group of parents and educators familiar with the specific needs of children with developmental differences. Our mission is to bring people together with a common goal of supporting, advocating, and empowering our special needs community.

We provide inclusive and sensory friendly events that are designed for children with developmental differences. We understand how difficult it can be to take your specials needs child to a “typical” social event. We work hard to offer events where you and your child can feel comfortable and have fun in a worry and judgement free setting.

We work to support special education students at all schools within Hancock County. We provide funding for field trips as well as funds for projects that benefit the special education community. We do not provide funding for individuals.

Why?

We want our students to feel a sense of inclusion and have all the opportunities and experiences that every child deserves. Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities are a part of our community and deserve access to the resources and experiences that will help them reach their potential and become contributing members of the community.
